Beauty of the world

January and February in Nur-Sultan were extremely unpredictable and freezing. As a result, people cherish their memories from warm and beautiful places. Our students of 11th grade had the chance to share their own experience in the field of finding “warm” beauty in different parts of the world. The task was to create a post in social networks describing their favorite places. We are glad to represent some of student’s works here!

“My favourite place in the world  which I am really fascinated of because of the beautiful nature in original appearance. Many of such places I got to see during my trip to Albion. I especially love Cornwall's cliffs, but the white cliffs of Dorset and Jurassic coast are something from another world! Durdle Door (sometimes written Durdle Dor) is probably the most famous stone arch, anywhere in the world.

Eroded by time and nature, it was created when the sea pierced through the Portland limestone around 10,000 years. Durdle Door is one of Dorset's and England's most photographed and iconic landmarks and since 2001 has been part of the family of natural wonders which also includes the Grand Canyon and the Great Barrier.

When we took a journey to this magical place, to my shame, I had no idea about it. We arrived around midday Saturday. It was overcast. A gusty wind seemed to permeated the clothes. It was drizzling rain. We went to the rocky shore and we have seen a breathtaking view of its prehistoric beauty. Suddenly a downpour began. The beach quickly emptied and only particularly persistent tourists like me stayed to watch the true beauty.

A week later, I again asked for a trip to Durdle Door. The other day, it was sunny. This was the perfect opportunity to take few photos. At that time, we went further and a small bay named Man O’War opened in front of us, which looked like a lagoon. This place has echoed in my heart and became a piece of the puzzle of the general impression of England

“The most beautiful country I have ever visited is Turkey. From cozy villages to serene beaches, the country is full of amazing places.

I still remember my trip to the place that has changed my perception of ancient history. I spent 7 days in Cappadocia, exploring ancient valleys and towns. I’d like to tell about the sights I liked the most. One of them is The Goreme Open-Air Museum. It is very close to Goreme city, which is a well-known town in Cappadocia. With more than 30 stops along the tour, the audio guide explains different interesting facts about the region and the people who lived in Cappadocia many years ago.

Another wonderful place to visit is the Red Valley. Many people come there just to relax and watch the sunset. There are also many different ancient buildings and cafes which allow tourists to get a cup of Turkish coffee while traveling.

Cappadocia is one of the most amazing places all over the world. I’d recommend everyone visiting this place. Anyway, we all only live once!”

“My favorite place is Keruen. I have tons of memories with this place. As a child, I used to celebrate my birthdays there. In Keruen there was a special place for children. This place was called “Happylon”. On the ground floor there were slot machines. On the second floor there were two rooms that were needed to celebrate birthdays. These were large rooms, in the middle of which stood long tables and many chairs. And along the walls there were panoramic windows that overlooked the game room, the cafeterias and restaurants of Keruen. It was a good time.

When I got older, me and my friends decided to win something. We put money on the cards and went to look for a game station. We found a basketball station. Since then we were smart enough to figure out how to score points quickly. At the level of the ring there was a laser, which recorded how many times a ball flies through it. We were tall enough to pick up the ball and hold it in front of the laser. After several attempts, we got three bracelets, each. It was fun. I also remember how my friend Nikolay spoke about a wonderful place called "Kebabhouse". The best “döners” in the city were cooked at this place. When I tried it for the first time, I was not enthusiastic and did not even eat it, but the second time everything was perfect. In the 10th grade, after Friday's lessons, I often went there for lunch after a hard day to get enough of well-cooked food. Now something is being built on the site of this restaurant. When I found out that this restaurant was closed, I was very upset, but there was nothing I could do about it.

Now I am very busy after school and do not go to Keruen, but until recently I went there with my friend to drive in wheelbarrows at the Technodom. After several attempts, I began to play on a professional level of difficulty, where I began to take first places.”

My favorite place in our city is the Botanical Garden. I think this is the most wonderful place.

The Botanical Garden is located on my favorite Turkestan street, next to the school. I spent the whole summer of 2019 in the botanical garden. Plants for the garden brought from different parts of the world. Ficus, dracaena, lemons, oranges, ferns and palm trees - there about 1100 plants They were brought from tropical countries. I usually come here by bike. There is a very good bike path, as well as a road for pedestrians . One of the features of the garden is the singing fountains . For the sake of this sight, people come here on Fridays and watch this beauty . I am glad that there are a lot of benches. There is also an artificial pond that creates a special atmosphere. Often, beautiful ducks swim in it .

And now I want to tell you about my favorite Turkestan street . This street is still quite long, about 5 kilometers. All the facilities necessary for me are located here. Every day I am here: I go to school, go to trainings, walk in the botanical garden, sometimes I go to the EXPO

I highly recommend you take a walk along this street !
